Easy summit hike from the "Großklausen"
This drive from Steinhaus(1050 m) go by cable car up to Kleinklausen (Klausberg, 1602 m; restaurants). Then continue on foot to the 2nd marker and the sign Großklausen followed by a wide forest path with a slight loss of altitude eastward through meadows and forested slopes in about 15 minutes. Cross over into the "Großklausental" to the local fork in the road (about 1600 m) then right at the guiedepost "Moserebene" following on the wide forest trail through meadows and forest up to the mountain cabin. At the camin (1847 m( turn left, at the guidepost "Hochfeld" following up the steep path 7A through sparse forest up to the "Grubenalm" (2040 m) and continue on the high-field (2296m) - the cross is slightly below the highest point, from the starting point 2,5 hours.
Take the same route back, or descend into "Bärental" - "Seeberhütt" and from there head back to "Großklausen"- A beautiful variant through a sparse pine forest.
